I was roused by the sudden silence of the room last Saturday at midnight. Ironic, I know. But I went to sleep that night with my iTunes on. I played rock hammers – alternative, punk and soft rock music – the whole night. But it appears that the last song added to The Hardest I Could Stand folder (playlist) has been played already – marking the end of the effectivity of these unprescribed sleeping pills. The silence was both unusual and comforting. I couldn’t hear a thing except for the occasional wheezes I made. I checked out the clock and realized it was still too early to get ready for the day yet. But in spite of the extended siesta I had, I sensed pressure coming ahead.

I have both eyes opened but I was still listening to some thoughts left hanging at the back of my unconsciousness. One of them echoed at full volume, calling the awareness of the most sensitive part of me and begging for an immediate end. If there are those who gravely despise the word obesity (or simply fat), there are also people who equally despise the word skinny. I hate to think that I am skinny, but some friends backed up these claims lately. Some pounds vanished and I want it recovered. Currently, I stand 5 feet and 7 and weigh roughly a hundred and thirty pounds. I think I needed 10 to 15 more pounds. I need an effective formula.
How To: Gain Weight Quick and Easy
Eating. Eating is the first and most important factor that is needed to gain weight. It’s simple: Eat more calories than you burn. This does not mean eating anything and everything that is not nailed down. Carefully plan your meals with foods that will help you gain lean mass, not fat. I suggest 6 meals. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and three other small meals scheduled throughout the day. The goal is to eat every 2.5 to 3 hours.
Lifting. When trying to gain weight, I suggest working out three times a week. You need to lift hard and then recover for the next workout. Focus on the big exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bent-over rows, chin-ups, bench press, and military press. These are the exercises that will turn those extra calories into muscle. You are not going to gain much by doing lateral raises and step-ups every workout. You need the multiple-joint lifts that will shock your system and stimulate your body into growth. Focus on getting strong by adding a small amount of weight each workout. If you focus on strength, size will follow.
Supplements. To gain weight, you do not need supplements, but they will help you gain the weight quicker. That's what they are, supplements to an already good diet and training program. Think of supplements as the finishing touch.
I thought the only thing I need is sex. It turned out that it's not even part of the plan. Hmmm, I think I need to burn some bucks for this.
