On new beginnings, promotion, hot men, etc

It wasn’t too long ago since I got promoted as a Subject Matter Expert (now acting as a Team Leader) and I couldn’t be prouder as this has been something I’ve been dreaming to happen to me before I eventually leave the call center industry in the not-so-distant future. The nature of the job is quite demanding, actually, and especially that we’re in Sales, stress is predictably doubled. As one of the youngest leaders in my company (I’m only 23 as of this date), I still feel there’s a lot to learn and to improve in terms of my leadership skill, but I have to start somewhere. As long as we’re consistently hitting the expectations, then I could definitely focus on other skills that I need improvement on.

So it was by choice that I stopped blogging for a month now, so I could gage my time well and eventually avoid stress. Now that I’m back with this post, then it only means I’ve learned either how to balance my time or how to get my job get done efficiently in the office.

I felt so mean last time when I posted some anonymous picture online in here, and wrote down some sarcastic words that I myself wouldn’t want to hear from other people. But whatever was the reason behind that, there would always be an explanation. But I think I was only pushed to my limits, I don’t usually start a fight, you know. Nevertheless, let’s see if karma bounces back.

So whoever you are, I’m sorry.

Now I know some visitors of this blog only do so because they want to see naked Filipino men, so let me give them the guarantee that as long as I could have enough time to put a one-paragraph explanation as to why I’m posting their pictures, I will do it so and post them on a regular basis. I’m also doing it for myself, actually, so when I get older, I could look back and say, “Wow, this is cool.”

So aside from handling a team, something cool also occurred last month—I got to see and experience Cebu for 2 days. It was really a fun experience as we also got to visit the nearby Kawasan Falls and Moalboal Beach. I’ve been hearing a lot of comments and quotes that Cebu is “just like Manila” but I really can’t say the same. Manila is far more developed and highly modernized. Cebu, on the other hand, is just on the same direction but not on the same status yet. Ironically, once you landed in their airport and traveled to the center of the city, you’d somehow realize that their geographic location is similar to that of Macau. Observe closely once you’re there.

I don’t know if my observations were right, but I think a lot of locales already opted for a wider lifestyle choice in Manila and in other cities outside the country that are far more developed and modernized.
