For the first time in this pageant, one country won the ultimate title of Miss Universe in two consecutive years. Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela won the coveted title last year and this year, her successor, Stefania Fernandez is also from Venezuela. There were a total of 83 delegates (Turks & Caicos dropped out due to illness) in the said event that was held in Nassau, Bahamas. Congratulations, Miss Venezuela. As for Miss Philippines, let’s welcome her back as she brings home nothing. Binibining Pilipinas, you officially suck.

well, to be honest, bianca manalo was great on stage, i didn't like her gown though. but i definitely didn't like the fact that she was not included in the top 15.
