Before Twilight

I know nothing about photography, so if I have to criticize anything that relates to it, it has to be always limited to my own shots or any picture that has me on it. There’s nothing special about that picture above (I took that photo), but in over a year of venturing in photography, I’ve observed, in all weirdness, that there are certain pictures I’d love to see now and then. That picture above, taken just before twilight, is one of them. Like I said there’s nothing special about it—no interesting stories to be told. Each time I look at this picture, I could simply see random things that are common in Manila—utility poles that are erected without any sense of sophistication, traffic jam, people passing by, among others. On the right side, you’ll find the McDonald’s logo (located at the tip of Mindanao Avenue); on the opposite, one of the latest Ayala malls (named TriNoma); and, in the background, the Quezon City Memorial Circle icon. This picture is taken from the footbridge that connects SM City North EDSA and TriNoma. See you tomorrow as I post more random things about Manila…

why don't they bury these utility lines underground like in most modern cities and reserve some poles for lighting only?
