Who says that college life in the Philippines is always about books, all-nighters, cheering squads, basketball events and scandals? It seems like most universities in Manila are into beauty pageants, too. Here's one from Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) in Intramuros, Manila—a picture from the bikini round of Mr. and Ms. Lyceum 2012. They even have personalized bikini designs matching their school's official colors. What do you think? Should beauty pageants be encouraged in schools, too?

This can only happen in the Philippines. It sends the wrong message which is totally opposite to learning and acheiving in life through education and hard work. University is a place of higher learning.
